This page is to show you what I'm up to at school. I'm currently doing
graduate school at Northwestern University in the department of Materials
Science and Engineering. It's one of the top materials science schools in
the world, and I'm loving it. I work for Professor Stupp in the
Biomaterials Group, doing research on organic coatings for metallic
implants. Below I've included some pics of NU, and links to my school,
department, and research group so you see what we're up to here. Hopefully
the research group page will be updated soon and you'll see that I actual am in
the group!
I am also a member of the NU Ju-Jutsu team, which I'm also loving! It's
actually ParaCombatives Ju-Jutsu, combining aspects of Ju-Jutsu, Judo, Karate,
and Military Combatives. The emphasis is on self-defense, using the
opponents own momentum and size against themselves, and can be a deadly set of
skills if applied properly. I just started in the fall and it's pretty
amazing what I can already do. A link to the club website is below.
Check it out and see some serious ass-kicking!
Finally, I've added a little tour of my work to
give you a little flavour of where I do what I do and with who. Just click
on the button below labelled TOUR.
